Badgemore Primary School, Oxfordshire

Badgemore Primary School received 50 tree saplings from ERS to help set up their own School Tree Nursery in February 2018. Teacher Tauiqir Ahmad has kindly provided these photos and an update on the school’s tree nursery below.

"Thank you so much for the generous gift of the pack of 50 saplings. They arrived in great condition and our Friends of Badgemore School Garden Club had an opportunity to complete their planting to make hedging and contribute to our woodland area.  As part of our ‘Buzz in the Meadow’ project, we planted an orchard 15 months ago and will have our own apiary making honey this summer. These extra trees will provide further tree pollen which will be a great benefit. Together with our new wildlife pond and wildflower areas, the new trees will also attract further wildlife. Luckily everything went very smoothly with great results all around."
