Stanford in the Vale School, Oxfordshire

Stanford in the Vale School received 50 tree saplings from ERS to help set up their own School Tree Nursery in January 2018. Teacher Sue Finney has kindly provided these photos and an update on the school’s tree nursery

"I have had great feedback from the children - they have all stated why it’s important to have trees within our environment as they all understand trees play a vital role with air quality -
Giving us oxygen and storing carbon. The children understood trees are the biggest plants on the planet! Some children stated trees provide us with vital materials such as tools and shelter and their roots play a fundamental role within the soil. The trees were planted as part of our Gardening Club so we will have the opportunity to forward planted trees within the grounds and out in the wider community at our Forest School site where we have included with tree planting."
