Fred Nicholson School, Norfolk

Fred Nicholson School is a special educational needs school that supports pupils with various needs to progress through school and gain skills for later life. They run a forest school programme on the site to help boost self-esteem and resilience as well as practical life skills pupils can use as they grow older and move on into adult life. The school embraces outdoor learning and was looking to develop these areas further to assist with the holistic development of the young people who use the site.

Our charity provided the school with 50 tree saplings in February 2019 to support these goals and allow pupils to establish a tree nursery on their grounds. Forest School Leader Emma Mayes has kindly provided this photo below of their tree planting day.
