Students had a great day of planting trees in London

At Rushmore Primary School in London, we recently donated 50 trees for their student to plant a new tree nursery in their grounds.

2 teachers and 12 children, from the ages 5-10, spent less than half a day planting them. We were told that they were all very excited about the whole thing. Nikki, the school’s Eco Lead, told us the following:

“Parents loved the fact that our children planted the trees on site. This project will help us on our journey towards becoming an eco school.

Our eco-committee shared what they did within the school community via newsletter and an assembly. Our school knows how important trees are.

Once the trees are old enough, we will be re-planting them with Tree Musketeers. It is a great partnership. We have previously planted over 200 trees with them in a local park.

This was a great project. We would love do to it again and happy to nurse more trees. We had a brilliant time and look forward to working with you again in the future.”

It does indeed look like everyone had a great time planting the trees into their new nursery. Have a look yourself at the lovely photos from the day below.
