Significance: One of the last old growth forest areas in the USA 
Description: Primal forest with rare medicial, & ornamental plants, endangered species and one of the last stands of old growth forest. It has been degraded by lack of forest mangament.

Course of action: Increase camping areas and visitor housing. Forest thinning along access road. Portable sawmilling of thinned materials.

Valued Skills: 4 to 12 volunteers Skill levels: basic use of chain saws, hand tools for digging,sawing and planting. Basic skills in gardening Good health 

Achievements: Purchased 80 acres, held in 501(C)3, Built buildings on the 80 acres for housing and teaching. Established organic gardens and camping areas for visitors. Stopped large clear cut project all around the valley. Preserved thousands of acres of primal forest. Build a road into the area.
Goals: To create fire breaks around the 80 acrea sanctuary Thin 1.5 mile access road area for safety and use of trees for fuel and building. Thin areas within the 80 acre sanctuary for safety and healthy forest managment.

Other Information: Platform tents in beautiful forest groves. Mild climate with warm sunny summers. Temperatures 50-95. Altittude is 3000 ft. Vegetarian cuisine, No tobacco, alcohol or drugs. Must like being in the wilderness. We are off grid with no TV, radio, etc. 1 hour from town. Men and women welcome $150 per month includes room and board. Fun working envirnonment with a mountain stream for swimming.
