Food for Life

Trees for Life’ or FFLV’s  Environment project, aims at conserving and developing the natural environment and heritage of their historic and holy land.  They promote practical activities with community participation through various awareness programmes, distribution and solutions.

Planting Trees

FFLV engages in practical and educational projects by planting tree saplings in school playgrounds and educating the school children on the importance of protecting and maintaining the environment.

They distribute tree saplings, especially fruit trees, to villagers and maintain a tree nursery, and an organic farm.  ERS decided to donate a greenhouse and 400 trees and we intend to be more active in the future, as Food for Life represents a vision where the humanitarian need go hand in hand with the environment.  For example the planting of fruit trees provide for healthier soils, good diet, habitat for birds, shade in the summer, seeds for more trees, and soaking up CO2 from the atmosphere - perfect combination.  The role for ERS will be to collect support for Food for life and advice if needed.  If you would like to support the programme - please get in touch with Andreas Kornevall - e-mail: andreas@earthrestorationservice.org - all information on current projects will be available.

Up to date, more than 3,000 tree saplings have been planted in village, school and playgrounds.

From time to time FFLV organizes fortnightly cleanliness drives in the interior parts of Vrindavan Town in joint collaboration of Municipal Board Vrindavan.

Villagers are encouraged and enlisted periodically to participate in regular cleaning campaigns of their village. Solid waste management, segregation and composting techniques are propagated by FFLV ‘s team of professionals.
